Where the facilities match the setting.
Coastal Kippford is a 4-star holiday park in Dumfries and Galloway, open all year round and maintained to a consistently high standard. The park’s facilities are designed to make every stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, whether you are here for a single night or the full season.
Many owners and visitors say the greatest facility at Coastal Kippford is the park itself: the grounds, the landscaping, the way it sits within the natural environment. Everything else supports that.
The park has held the David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award for 20 consecutive years. The grounds are maintained to a standard that earns that recognition, with mature planting, dry-stane walling, seasonal colour, and an environment that actively supports local wildlife including red squirrels.
Forest walks begin at the park entrance. Dalbeattie Forest is approximately 300 metres away and offers waymarked trails for all abilities, as well as the world-class 7stanes mountain biking route. The coastal walk to Rockcliffe starts from Kippford village, five minutes downhill.
Dogs are welcome across the park and on all walks. There is no restriction on breed or size. Coastal Kippford is, genuinely, one of the most dog-friendly parks in south Scotland.
The park is staffed around the clock, every day of the year. There is always someone available to help, whether you have a question about your home, an issue that needs attention, or simply want a recommendation for where to eat in Kippford.

The park has two dedicated play areas: one for younger children, and a larger space with a zip line, basketball area, and swings for older children and teenagers. Families regularly comment on how much time their children spend there independently and happily.
