If you are touring the south of Scotland and looking for a pitch that will make you want to stay an extra night, Coastal Kippford is that place.

Set on a hillside above the Solway Firth, surrounded by mature forest and minutes from the coast, Coastal Kippford is one of the most scenic touring caravan sites in Dumfries and Galloway. The park is 4-star rated, staffed around the clock, and immaculately maintained.

Nightly touring pitches

We welcome touring caravans, motorhomes, and campervans throughout the season. Pitches are well-spaced and set within the park’s beautifully landscaped grounds. Dogs are welcome. The park’s facilities, including the laundry room, are available to all touring guests.

Kippford village is a short walk downhill. Dalbeattie Forest, with its waymarked walking trails and world-class mountain biking, is a three-minute drive. The coastal path to Rockcliffe is one of the finest short walks in the region.

We currently have six Nightly Pitches that can be booked for touring caravans and motorhomes/campervans as well as three tent pitches.

There are various prices for Nightly Pitches:

Low Season: 1st November 2025 – 26th March 2026 – £25 (electric only) / £30 (super pitches)
High Season: 27th March 2026 – 31st October 2026 – £30 (electric only) / £35 (super pitches)

Please note, our super pitches have water, electric hook-up and grey waste facilities. Our serviced pitches have electric hook-up only.

Seasonal touring pitches in Scotland

For those who return to Dumfries and Galloway each year, a seasonal touring pitch at Coastal Kippford offers the convenience of a fixed base with all the freedom of touring. Seasonal pitch holders enjoy the same beautifully maintained environment as permanent holiday home owners, and many seasonal guests eventually decide they would like something more permanent.
