Coastal Kippford offers lodges and caravans available to rent directly through the park, as well as a number of privately owned holiday homes that owners make available when they are not using them. Lodges are typically spacious, with fully fitted kitchens, comfortable living areas, and private decking. Some include hot tubs.
The park is open all year, so you can visit in any season. Spring and summer bring wildflowers and long evenings by the coast. Autumn is arguably the finest time of year, with the forest colours at their most extraordinary. Winter is quiet, clear, and often spectacular.
Location and activities
You are on the doorstep of both the Solway coast and Dalbeattie Forest. The round walk from Kippford to Rockcliffe takes around 90 minutes and is genuinely one of the finest coastal walks in southern Scotland. For those who want more, the Sandyhills to Rockcliffe Coastal Path offers views across the Solway to Cumbria and the Isle of Man. The Dalbeattie 7stanes mountain biking centre is minutes away. Golf, fishing, sailing, and paddleboarding are all close by. Dogs are always welcome.
