Barnbarroch Lodge is spacious, well-equipped and a favourite amongst families looking to escape for a well earned break.
Located opposite Craigieknowes golf course and tea room (a scenic 9 hole par 3 course), this double-storey lodge is set in an idyllic garden that’s fully maintained. Visitors can take in the views from one of the many windows that surround the light-filled lounge area, which also has an open fireplace for those colder evenings. As for the warmer nights, there is a barbecue pit and plenty of parking space for friends and family.
The kitchen has everything you need, and a utility room is fitted with a washing machine and tumble dryer for your convenience.
All four of the bedrooms are located on the first floor, one of which has a king size bed. There is also a large family bathroom.
Pets are more than welcome to join you on your vacation, provided they are kept downstairs.
What to Do During Your Stay
There’s lots to do in the local area whatever your interests, be it wildlife, walking, castles, gardens or wonderful places to eat and drink.
Along with the sea being just half a mile from Barnbarroch Lodge, there are also miles of cycling routes in Dalbeattie Forest, which is a mere 300m away. There is also the option to fish and sail in the Kippford area.
As for kids, the Dino Park, Galloway Activity Centre, and the chocolate and ice cream factories are popular outings.
If you head into Kippford village, you can enjoy one of two licensed restaurants as well as a quaint café and gift shop.
